International Society of Pulmonary Medicine in Rehabilitation (INSPIRE)
Pulmonary rehabilitation is an important treatment of rehabilitation field which not only improves the quality of life for patients suffering from pulmonary problem but can also save lives of them. Proper application of pulmonary rehabilitation might improve the treatment outcome of other rehabilitation area as well as other specialized medical fields. However, medical infrastructure of pulmonary rehabilitation in most countries is still insufficient to implement proper pulmonary rehabilitation treatment. Therefore, we intend to establish an international academic organization to actively engage in academic exchanges between countries, and to systematize and continuously develop pulmonary rehabilitation treatment by sharing experiences. In this way, proper pulmonary rehabilitation treatment could be distributed internationally, helping many patients suffering from ventilatory failure and related symptoms due to respiratory diseases.
Pulmonary rehabilitation itself can improve the patient’s quality of life and also improve outcomes in other rehabilitation fields.
